Absolutely! When applied by professionally trained lash stylists, high-quality lash extensions will not cause damage to or loss of your natural lashes. At MYNC, we take great care to ensure your natural lashes remain healthy. We use top quality products and train our lash stylists according to our high standards. During your lash extension consultation, your stylist will assess your natural lashes and select the appropriate extensions to achieve your desired look and maintain optimum lash health. They’ll also recommend aftercare steps and products to preserve your style and keep your natural lashes strong.

Some natural shedding is normal. It is typical to lose 3-5 natural lashes each day. If you notice excessive loss, reach out to your MYNC location you visited right away and we will be happy to help make things right for you!

Lash extensions are synthetic lashes affixed to your individual lashes using a medical-grade lash glue to provide additional length, volume and shape. They create an enhanced appearance designed to resemble natural lashes or to create a dramatic look, according to your preference. At MYNC, we use natural-looking, premium lash extensions that are light weight and luxurious.

Your natural lashes shed daily – and so will the lash extensions attached to them. After about two weeks, this becomes noticeable. To maintain the look of your eyelash extension service, we recommend getting a fill every 2 to 3 weeks. Our Lash Lovers membership will help you commit to a two-week maintenance program and save money while doing so. (Please note that if you wait too long for your fill service, you might require a new full set.)

Please use an oil-free cleanser to remove all eye makeup before you arrive. Avoid using sunscreen or moisturizer near the eye area. If you wear contact lenses, please swap them for glasses or bring a contact lens case so you can remove your contacts before your appointment. (Don’t worry – if you forget your lens case, you can purchase one when you arrive.)

Depending on the MYNC style you select, please expect your full set service to last between 70 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. For a fill service, please expect your service to last 35 to 55 minutes.

It’s best to sleep on your back, but if you prefer sleeping on your side, you can use our eye mask for protection. Our eye mask features 3D contouring that provides space for your lash extensions, preventing them from getting tangled or crushed while you sleep.

It’s best to avoid mascara as it can damage the lash extensions and make them difficult to remove. If you must use mascara, opt for the water-based formula available in our MYNC salons.

Yes, but be sure to clean your lash extensions right after swimming. Long exposure to water, salt, and chlorine can weaken the adhesive over time.

No. Proper cleaning is essential to maintaining the health and longevity of your lash extensions. Just be gentle and use the recommended products and techniques. If not cleaned regularly, makeup and debris will build up on your lash line, weakening the adhesive bond between your lash extensions and your natural lashes, and causing premature fallout. We recommend our lash cleanser which has been designed to gently cleanse your lash extensions daily.

Avoid oil-based products, excessive rubbing, and using eyelash curlers. Also, be gentle when washing your face and use a cleanser that is suitable for lash extensions, such as our specially-formulated lash cleanser.
